Our story

Home of
Indian Flavours.

Mana Ruchulu opened in Hanover in 2026 with one idea: bring the real flavours of South India to Maryland — and do them properly.

What we cook

Done properly, done fresh.

That means tiffins made fresh each morning — idli, vada, pongal and crisp dosas — and biryani cooked slow and dum the Hyderabadi way. It means Andhra heat when a dish calls for it, the citrus snap of pesarattu, and filter coffee poured the way it should be.

Our roots are in Andhra, Telangana and Hyderabad, with a few favourites borrowed from across the South — Ambur and Talapakattu biryani, Madurai Malli dosa, Mysore masala. We keep it simple and honest: fresh ingredients, all halal meat, and no shortcuts.

That's the whole story — for now. Come hungry.

What we hold to

Three things, always.

01

Made today, or not at all

Batter ground overnight, biryani sealed fresh, decoction pulled to order. Nothing waits under a heat lamp.

02

Halal, no shortcuts

All our meat is halal. Fresh ingredients, real ghee, a long simmer — we'd rather you wait than we rush.

03

A table for everyone

Family-friendly and generous — known for chicken and goat biryani, with a full slate of veg tiffins, dosas and curries. Come as you are, leave a little fuller.

In the kitchen

How a plate comes together.

01

Ground & soaked

Rice and lentils soaked, then stone-ground for batter the night before.

02

Marinated

Meats rested in yogurt and spice; vegetables prepped by hand each morning.

03

Sealed on dum

Biryani layered, sealed and slow-cooked so the steam does the work.

04

Plated to order

Finished only when you order — hot, fresh and the way it should arrive.

“Bring the real flavours of South India to Maryland — and do them properly. That's the whole idea.”
